Inviting Sikh Sangat to attend candlelight vigil at Lake Eola

Sikh Society of Central Florida calls all members, friends and family to come together on Sunday, June 19, 2017 at 6:00pm (at our tent) at Lake Eola, 512 E Washington St, Orlando, FL 32801 USA.

This peaceful candlelight vigil marks a unique gathering of the community to mourn the loss of 49 individuals, to show support and to stand as one with the Orlando community. our uniformity and participation are most important in large numbers to represent our peace loving community. This event will be heavily photographed, and nationally televised.

The Sikh community will have a tent at Lake Eola to provide water bottles to the attendees of the vigil.

It is requested that all participants show support at this event by preferably wearing our Orange and Blue colored Turbans. T-shirts as well as turbans will be provided at Gurudwara Sahib from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. We request that the community assemble together at Gurudwara Sahib before 5:00pm to leave together and reach our tent at Lake Eola by 6:00pm.
